Pilot:

Today's forecast was identical to yesterday but with slightly weaker winds. The lift was not quite as strong so average speeds were slower. Learning from yesterday's relight, we launched a little higher and got established in the wave before starting. Clouds at Bridgeport bordered the first turn but they went away later in the day, as forecast. It got very strong late in the day, just before sunset.

Coordination with Joshua Approach and Oakland Center gave us clearance to FL240 every time we asked. We were given a clearance "At or above 10,000ft" for a short while but today was not a Perlan high altitude attempt.

The Arcus-J is equipped with FAA-compliant nav and strobe lights. Thanks to Stewart, Dana and Bill for crewing. Thanks to Bob for the sweet engine, upon which we depend so much.
