Comment

The weather over developed in the Moriarty area, so instead of trying to land in some pretty extreme conditions, I got out of the area between some cells and flew towards Las Vegas. When I got to Las Vegas, too much rain, wind and lightning. So I went a little east to some good clouds then south towards Santa Rosa since the storms had all moved west. Once I knew that I had Santa Rosa, I turned towards Vaughn. I had the altitude to make Moriarty, but heavy rain blocked my path. Landed in Vaughn and was retrieved by my good flying buddy, Steve Michalik (S9). It was a very interesting day. I got some really good pictures of the weather blocking my path to Moriarty.
I used a friend's Oudie with the new display. It is a big improvement from the older unit!
