Just another day in paradise...Elke's 1st 1,000 km mission...my 103rd.

The forecast said the day had excellent potential albeit with 20 knot winds and probably blue skies in northern Nevada…in case it was better than forecast we declared a big triangle.
Got a pretty good start…the White’s still have a lot on snow so they did not work well…Inyos were better…from the turn at Mt Inyo had a decent run north chasing clouds…near Austin it was blue to Hawthrone and to the northwest so we decided to follow the clouds back south…thanks to a report from Stewart that it was good west of Mt Patterson we shot a gap in the virga east of Mono Lake which gave us a good route home…found weak lift west of Carson City that turned into good wave…at one point the computer said the winds were only 11 knots while the averager was reading 8 knots up…

1,000s of bugs more than than normal...normal being almost zero. The Arcus has strobe and position lights.

Thanks, to the pilot who about 5 pm reported wave at Mt Rose, Jackie for the weather messages from KY, and Stewart for crewing.

Minden rocks!

Happy Elkie: Muchas Gracias Dennis & Jim for sharing your new toy and introducing me to your playground and new dimensions. Can't get that grin out of my face...
