Another 17,900ft wave day! The Catskills are a great wave generator. Found the primary once more and it seems like it was generated by Slide Mountain today. A couple more wave areas were working near Ellenville and especially right downwind of the Shawangunks. I found 3 knots at 11,500ft... couldn't stick around and explore because had to get home to get to classes.
Thanks Steve Beer for crewing in the morning today. Really appreciate your help getting Greta ready! Thanks Dan Yates for the long and rugged tow. I finally got to experience a "wave rotor tow" today. And thanks Aero Club Albatross for providing the Grob to explore wave in. It is a great wave machine and solo it has an incredibly low sinkrate with those big wings.Pilot
