Moderate blue wave day with decent thermals beneath the wave. Day started with some moderate blue thermals that I quickly took up to over 9k'. I found very weak wave between Tule Peak and the Dogskins, but couldn't really climb effectively in it so went further west. Found some slightly better, but still weak wave just west of the Dogskins, but again moved on west. I found usable lift NE of Petersen Mountain so I slalomed back and forth a bit in it to gain some altitude to about 14k' and headed S. Made it a bit S of Heavenly where the wave appeared to end and I turned around, only to completely lose it and lost 3,000' in sink trying to reacquire it. Slalomed just a bit downwind of Heavenly and quickly got the altitude back. Also fell out of the wave and into sink by Verdi and S of Halleluja Junction but managed to get back up. By the time I made it to Constantia the thermals underneath had sparse cus and the wave seemed to peter out. I still had to derig after landing so decided to round Herlong with lots of altitude to spare and call it a day. I ended up so high I made a small run to the uncharted X runway E of Spanish Springs to burn off some more altitude before heading back to Air Sailing. As I was derigging, S of Air Sailing had beautiful lennies that finally showed up that looked high enough to be plenty into the flight levels which I thought was the perfect way to end a wave filled weekend.
