Comment

Flight does not match up with the excellent conditions today. I struggled with reading the clouds today. My hit rate was 1/2 and I ended up having to take middling lift of a few knots when there were 10+ knoters available. I had intended to fly towards Buena Vista but chickened out when I got to Evans and there was a blue hole until the next cloud. Tried to go north but couldn't get past Lumpy Ridge (N of Estes Park) when the cloud there didn't do anything. So ended up flying yoyo between Mt. Evans and Carter Reservoir. Much better was possible as proven by other Boulder pilots today. Still fun flight with tremendous visibility all across Colorado.
