Weak (as usual) below 2000 agl; strong organized lift about 5000 agl.
There was a huge blue hole east of Albert Lea extending to the south from yesterday's rain.
I planned a course around its rim,
Conditions were actually better at 1700 than at 1400 -- every wisp seemed to be strong.
When sorta low, I flew over a dust devil in the blue, and enjoyed a turbulent elevator to 8000 msl, at which point wisps began to form. i went to almost 10,000 msl in wisps!
At 1730, I decided that I was tired, and created a course to finish -- was at 10,000 at that point and finished below 5000 only because of strong sink close to KAEL.
