Some parts good, but for the most part meh. Not quite as good as yesterday. First hour or so was pretty tough, weak, blue or raggedy unreliable cus. I damn near needed a relight about 10 minutes after release, but scratched my way back from about pattern height. Getting to the pine nuts it got gradually better and better and the valleys weren't too sinky. The Pinenuts were working really well with a great street at about 12k and I was hauling ass and just dolphining. The clouds quit at the south end of the pinenuts. There were clouds again by Mt. Patterson but there was a big blue hole in the way and I wasn't that high to being with. I tried penetrating the blue hole but there wasn't much there so turned around near Desert Creek. Got a bit low, but not too bad and didn't have too much problem climbing back up. On the way back again the Pinenuts were working great. After that it got crappier and crappier the further north I went. Most of the Warm Springs valley was blue and lift by the Dogskins was weak and inconsistent. I initially wanted to round Herlong before going home but didn't make it that far. Most of State Line Peak was a giant sinky mess. I got one so so climb just north of it for the glide home. Should have been an easy glide at 28:1 but the sink was nasty and consistent up until 5 or 6 miles from the airport and I started to get a bit nervous, but made it back OK in one piece after all.
