Declared 750km triangle, Keepit Walgett Narromine Keepit. We launched at 11, started at just over 5000ft, and had a brilliant thermal just near Boggabri before 12:00 - 9kt peak. The Pilliga looked fabulous but didn't deliver - too overdeveloped. Finally came good on the other side.Slowly improved until Walgett was reached at 110kph; the second leg to Narromine was fast, however Narromine was in a blue hole overshadowed with cirrus. We went in cautiously but were rewarded with some good 4s and 5s. Turning Narromine we were about 115kph but had a tricky leg out in the shade until we rejoined the cu. Back up to 9000ft, then a blistering run home with the last few climbs going well to 11,000. Finished at 119.4kph and then found a nice 4kt thermal to 11,000 agaln - decided to extend the triangle. Flew out past Manilla, turned a little late and snuck home to find a 0.2kt thermal to get us over the line. Not sure if we made the height for the 2nd claim though. Time will tell.
