Put trust in the RASP today and it worked extremely well. Flew from Byron with no expectation there would be local lift, it took a long tow to SAV to the Rel1-2 waypoints. Plenty of turbulence once you got in the high country. Probably the result of air masses in collision, North of SAV the wind were strong from the north and the further south you wen it was a south wind. At the interface was where you could find lift. Flying into either airmass you found smooth air. Top out at 9.4k. Went south to past Mt Stakes, then to Lick Obs, then Mt Oso, then Mt Diablo to Funny Farm, then back to Byron.
