Released in pattern and initial climb over the hills was a bit tricky until a thermal over ward got me high enough to push under the clouds. Good flight from there but my 750 task was clearly too ambitious: headed north and turned near the WY border b/c the lift line north was not well enough defined for my comfort. Fast run along the convergence south until Idaho Springs, then major sink to get past Evans. Made it to Shawnee and got cold feet again when looking at the clouds across South Park. It looked like I had arrived at the end of a cycle and much of the line further south was dissolving. Turned north again, once again sink on the back side of Evans but this time I was prepared for it. Fast run north along the convergence, especially strong over Poudre towards Wyoming. Turned due to late in the day (this time the convergence kept going north east of Laramie - it did not look as strong as further south but it would have worked). Then very fast run under a convective street from Red Feather Lakes towards Granby. Left the line when virga started to fall out in Middle Park. Back across the divide and to Boulder. Fun flight.
