The Sierra wave has been broken and isolated to short segments so far this year. Same with today. Flew the Phoenix with Brad to Bishop, landed, got set up for the wave flight and relaunched. Flew the stretch from Bishop to Lone Pine and back a couple of times, then tried to extend the leg towards Mammoth but got flushed down. Flew home via Rotax. Normally Skysight is right on, but this time it forecasted much stronger lift than what we found. Still it was a worthwhile flight. And Skysight makes these flights possible, when otherwise I probably wouldn't attempt it.
