Another good training flight with GB doing lead/follow on the same route as last time, but this was a turn area task with 10 mile rings. Route selection and geometry were the teaching points this afternoon. Looking down track past the first or even second nice CU on track was key. A couple of times today we had a choice to go left or right. Looking down track a long ways kept us from having to make big deviations to avoid large blue holes. We kept in contact with the cloud field as much as possible but still had to cross a couple of weak areas. Slowing down to preserve our altitude and options until we were assured of obtaining a climb made this a relatively easy day. Glen did another great job! Who said old sailors can't learn new tricks.
