Bad ass day to start April. Climbs up to anywhere from 10k-14.5k at 4-6 knots. Many of the thermals felt multicored. Mostly blue with negligible winds. My first goal was to head S enough to be able to clear the Tuscon class C airspace so my first turnpoint was Ruby Star which I made pretty easily and quickly. I got a little low, down to 6.5k cross the highway and valley by Continental but found 2 consecutive climbs shortly after to get back up to 11k. The rest of the way to Cochise County was fairly uneventful and doing my best to stay over the mountains and hills helped find reliable lift. After turning Cochise County it got really good around Reiley Peak where I got up to 14.9k and connected with the only cu of the task. It was good until the N end of the Galiuro Mountains where I couldn't find a decent climb worth staying in for quite a while despite doing my best to stay over the mountains and hills on the E side of the valley. I ended up rounding Kearney and got down to almost 6k a few miles S before getting back up again where the higher ground on the W side of the valley produced decent lift that got me up to 10k for a fairly comfortable 33:1 home. I found another climb shortly after for a money back guarantee 27:1 final glide home that allowed me to really put the flaps in negative and haul ass. I turned over the Black Hills just to make sure I rounded out my triangle and called it a day followed by eating my body weight in ribs at the Circle S.
