Such a cool flight again!
The day started relatively late, but the plan for the day was already quite clear: First we go north, then we go south. Unfortunately the west was a bit hard due to NOTAMs.

The first part of the flight I was, as we say in Dutch ‘aan het kutviolen’. Quite a few stupid and bad decisions, which led to getting low two times. After Veendam, luckily I got it all back together, and the speed went up.

Some really nice cloudstreets to Oldenburg followed, and the fun in the cockpit was back again. After Oldenburg the decision was made to go to Venlo, just like a lot of my club mates did. The pace was good, so I reached Venlo quite fast. What followed was more interesting. All of a sudden I found myself in a blue stable airmass of about 30km’s. Determined to reach Venlo there was nothing left to do than fly further to the south to reach the clouds again. Luckily I could climb back up again, so the stretch back home could start.

After crossing the 30km’s of blue stable airmass again (Damn the 29 performs well...), it was a fairly easy glide back home. Not the strongest of thermals, but it did the job.

Two awesome flights in one week in April. Good start of the season!

Oh by the way! I’m in the Flight Club podcast by WeGlide. Go check it out!
