This flight was planned 10 days ago when we first saw the Windy.com prediction for a huge band of wind from Bariloche all the way south. With 14.5 hours of daylight, we planned to use all of it. The potential for a very long flight was clear. We knew we had to do long distances on each of the 6 OLC legs so we planned to turn 330km from home.

We towed straight into the wave and immediately turned south to start making distance. Near the edge of the Bariloche TMA we found good lift and got our airspace clearance from the Bariloche tower.

During the day we saw spectacular lenticular clouds all along our route and harmonic wave bars going downwind as far as we could see.

Thanks to Tim for the tow, Tago, Brad, Dana, Bill, Jim and James for crewing. The Arcus-J is equipped with FAA-compliant nav and strobe lights.
